Each year, the Chesapeake Rotary Club awards Scholarships to deserving Chesapeake students through three programs that are funded from the proceeds of this Golf Tournament with no administrative fee or club benefit.

The top Senior (selected by it’s Principal) at each of the seven Chesapeake High Schools is awarded a scholarship based on merit, poise, and their own personal presentation to the Club’s membership at a special annual meeting. The Club also awards scholarships through the STRIVE program at Indian River High School. This rewards students that have made the most dramatic improvements in their high school GPAs as they approach graduation. Finally, the club supports the Chesapeake Campus of Tidewater Community College with merit and/or need based scholarships to deserving students (as selected by TCC staff.)
